IE User Caveats

Internet Explorer 6.0 is not configured properly to download files in secure mode (https). See the Microsoft KB Article Internet Explorer file downloads over SSL do not work with the cache control headers. You may see the following message:

Internet Explorer cannot download file.ext from gsetx.com.
The file could not be written to the cache.

To configure Internet Explorer properly, you need to set the 'Do not save encrypted pages to disk option'. Here is how you do it:

  1. Go to the Internet Explorer 'Tools' menu
  2. Select 'Internet Options...'
  3. Select 'Advanced' tab
  4. Scroll down to 'Security'
  5. Check the 'Do not save encrypted pages to disk' option

Internet Explorer may need to be restarted.
